Front swivel axles, also know as SPINDLES, THAT HAVE BEEN THE STANDARD FOR MANY YEARS. THE STOCK
UNITS are one of the weak parts in the spridget. stronger swivel axles are a
must for race cars these days. the reason being two-fold, age is
working against all of us, but in this dialogue we will concern ourselves with
axles only. the more they are used the chance of cracking increases, thus
breakage OCCURS. the higher cornering forces put on them by better Suspension
systems and tire compounds increase the chances of failure. the construction of
the competition unit is: old stub axle is removed from the swivel axle,
precision machined and a new stub axle [machined from 4340 steel] is pressed in
and welded in place.
the king pin bushes are replaced as needed AND PAINTED, so you will receive
ready to install on your car.
